Hi everyone,
I purchased a throttle cable that was for shorter handlebars than I have. So I'm trying to make the most efficient route for the cable so the bike doesn't rev over 6000 rpm's every time I turn to the right! What is the correct / most efficient routing for the cable? The new one is only a bit shorter, so I think I can make it work. But I've tried different routings, and the last one is worse yet!

Throttle cable routes, with the metal elbow kicked slightly forward, between (above) the r/h headlight ear and the bucket, over the tank's front support then, depending on the remaining length of the tails from the splitter, down along the r/h/s of the frame (splitter falls naturally to the right and beneath the frame top-tube).
Leave the elbow locknut, at the throttle grip housing, loose and move the handlebar h/o to h/o and see where the most compromising exit angle is; you want it to take a natural route when more or less dead-ahead.

Excelent pics! I don't have mine routed that way, definitely. So I will probably gain enough to make it work well. It's good the seat and tank come off so easily on these bikes!
