I know what you mean. Both of my '62s have no high beam indicator. I had 2 '63s and 1 '64 and they all had the high beam indicator (here in the states).
Both of my '62s have the lock bolt for the camchain tensioner on the left side.
The VIN numbers indicate 1963.

That speedo is no later than a '62 (no high beam indicator). What is your engine number and could you please post a photo of the engine showing the cam chain tensioner?

I have a pair of very nice baffles for sale. These are the later issue that Honda beefed up over the earlier construction. $50 plus shipping. Ed (loud mouse) knows me and can vouch for me. Do as davomoto suggests. Is your battery new, with a full charge? Weak batteries can cause ignition woes. Also, does your bike have original mufflers with baffles? How clean is your air filter? Is it an OE paper filter or some other aftermarket type?
