1957 Benly JC Progress

Progress to date. This has been tougher than later stuff I've done. Parts are very crude, and don't fit together as well as later bikes!

I have a blue 1964 CB72. My understanding is that most of them had a light blue seat, but some had black. My CB72 had the optional wider blue "violin case" seat on it. It's wider and longer than stock. I think it looks odd, so I'm going to restore a blue seat and get a cover from the guys in canada ...

Hi Kirk, used starbrite, very happy. Lots of chrome on a benly, so it wasn't cheap. I did some cb72 stuff at oregon plating and it was good but expense. My next bikes will be at starbright again. He is changing his process over to a sprayed surface, which looks really nice and will be much cheaper!

CB72 CB77 Fenders and mainstand needed

I bought an early cb72 (61) and need fenders and a mainstand for it. What have you got? Thanks, Paul

Just when you thought it was either chrome or aluminum!

So, after restoring probably 25 60's honda twins, and now doing a Benly JC57, I had the following funny conversation with my chrome shop: “your chrome and the polished part are ready for pickup”…. I said, “polished part? Was that backing plate aluminum, because it sure looked like steel???” He said ...
