Loud Mouse I know I hardly have any posts but I am on this site reading through posts all the time and I have def. picked up that you know your stuff....that is for sure! Do you think you could post, send or link some pics of bikes you've painted using that color? Like I said I wasn't trying to insu...

Thanks for the replys....basically I've come to the conclusion that it is def. the wrong color...I have a CA160 from the same year and it's not even close to the same color. There is so much orange in the 6543 code it might as well be classified as an "orange". So now I am just going to take in a pa...

CB77 Red Paint Question

I have a 66 Superhawk that I am starting to paint....I had Dupont Imron 6543UM matched to Dupont Centari and I just got done painting my frame. It seriously looks orange to me. How would others using this code describe it's color? Sometimes it looks orange and sometimes it looks red to me. Could it ...

In my opinion....I would steer clear of this...it's missing a lot and needs a lot of work to complete. Even the tank alone looks to have been shaved and painted, so the chrome tank panels wouldn't mount if you were to get some. I myself just recently bought a Superhawk for a little bit more than tha...

Thanks for the replies guys... davomoto....that is what I ended up doing, worked like a charm. I think light tapping might have worked for seals extremely loose (maybe)...but yeah flipping it upside down and have wood around as much of the edge of the aluminum and pulling the shock downward worked o...

Ok one more thing....how hard do you need to hit this thing? I just had the shock tube in a vice and tried to hammer (wooden mallet) the lower aluminum cover off and it's not moving. I did remove the lower allen and the drain bolt when I tried to do this.

Awesome....that's how I assumed they came apart after looking at them but really just wanted advice for people that have done it...just incase I was missing something and risk damage to my parts. Thanks a lot for the help and the pm offer....I sure I will be needing that due to this being my first b...
