Thanks for the reply. I looked at my early model spares, and they're not in good shape anyway- rusty. I'll probably end up doing eBay, although there is a swap meet I'll check out in a couple of weeks, you never know what you'll find, although I'm usually not that lucky.

Fork uppers

I bent one of my fork uppers on my late 67 with the aluminum lowers. I have a spare bike with the steel lower. Are the uppers interchangeable? I know there was a part number change from 51410-273-010 to 51410-273-020, but doesn't always exclude interchangeability.

Never had good luck with cork gaskets. have rubber (honda part # 17631-329-003) on both my bikes and no problems. One has the original cap with the rubber, the other a newer replacement cap. The rubber seems more forgiving of surface flaws.

Thanks all for the well wishes! Semi good news, saw my orthopedic surgeon, no surgery required, just in a cast for 3 weeks then a brace. Recovery will be shorter than I anticipated- if all goes well. The bikes healing will take longer, can't really do much without my right hand.

I think the issue is not a brand, but one that will fit. I have one on my CA77, but couldn't find one that would fit in the CL77 battery box. They're either too long, but mostly too wide. Stock is only a small 2 amp hour battery.

kit may not be necessary. fuel is getting by the needle valve, but that can be caused by a small piece of contaminate getting between the needle and the seat, or the float sticking. Even setting for a long period there could be some corrosion in there. A good cleaning could do it. Mine had fuel leak...

Back from Tahoe, put about 300 miles on it, ran fine, except clutch still will slip. Less likely after some harder running, when oil is hotter, unless it's my imagination. It'll be a while before I get into it, bike rode half the last day on the chase truck, my fault, not the bikes. Damage to the bi...
