Big valves / big carbs

Hello Masonmart I bet that Velo sounds great. Anyway better not get into that on the 305 Honda site. Regarding the mods to the Honda's I think perhaps you misunderstood me, I certainly have nothing against modifications, I have posted a couple of my ones on this site which are far from standard so n...

I was not trying to alter the meaning of what you said. Being curiou...

Big valves / big carbs

Hello Masonmart, just being nosey here but who told you that the fastest CB77 ( as 350's ) ran 38mm inlet valves ? The largest ones I have heard of were 35's, even the 350K racers with the larger bore and shorter stroke usually don't go much above this. As you already have the 38's fitted and runnin...

5 speed box

A few observations / guesses, from the pictures of the gearbox I would say its a Nova one but an early type, I think the actual gears are the same as the later ones but the selector dr...

CR 72/77

Hello Everybody Here is another CB with a dry clutch ( and CB450 top end ). I think this is probably one of the ones that Pete Rhodes built with a the extended gearbox shaft made by Nova to take a Yamaha TZ ? clutch. Nova sell a similar setup for the CB450 racers. I suspect the next thing is for som...
