my mistake as far as the section. reposted in 305 section. The difference I think is because of my inexperiennce and tool used. Placing the adapter in the hole and possible leak between adapter and gauge. Hard to get tight due to lack of clearance.

Thanks for your replies. had changed plugs, old ones had dry black junk on em. Points look ok. set per Ed's directons. Carbs are off the bike now. Have Keyster rebiuld kits for them. Will look to that next. Have read of problems with them in the forum though. Will probably use the gasket only. The l...

couldn't get it to run or even sputter, even with starter fluid. have spark, set timing and smell gas on plugs. rechecked compression and tightened fittings better 100psi on left 95 on right.

head question

how can I tell the difference between 250 and 305 cc heads. My bike has 305 jugs but 250 carbs on it
