Hamamatsu Nippon Oh yeah plenty of room to do just about anything. I just had it rested on a jack and removed all mounting bolts besides the bottom two. Just disconnected carb, removed right side cover, gave plenty of slack in the drive chain, removed exhaust, then of course spark plug wires etc. G...

I managed to make it idle for a min or so last night and was smoking pretty good. Now today can't keep it running and still white smoke. Seems to come from head top crankcase vent but can't really tell. Any ideas that don't end in head gasket and rebuild? Haha

Well answer is yes haha. Wasn't too bad swung it down and tossed the gaskets on. But still smoking really bad what seems to be the vent nipple at the top of the head?

Huh guess I had them backwards. Used the tuning guide on here which is awesome. I think what I was doing wrong is setting gap at full closed instead of full open but it started just fine after. Next figure out how to put head cap gasket on which I had forgotten apparently lol. Thanks for the help Ja...

Motor "cap" removal on bike?

So got the old gal started! Come to find I didn't put the cap gasket on haha. Smoke and oil. Anyways I was wonder if anyone has just swung the front of the motor down to do something like this? It is the very top part of the motor with 8 bolts you tighten from the top but can only get to 4 on the bi...

Nopers have the 180 dream. I ended up having to work real late the last few days but hopefully I can get this thing done this weekend!! I tell you what though, these new Indian scouts are calling my name haha. Maybe one of those for a highway bike and the dream as a hopper.
