Thanks LM. That would make sense and I reckon that it is a 1962 built bike and fitted at the factory with a loom that was assembled and dated the previous year.

Great, thank you. On the strength of that information I have purchased a clutch actuator from a CL77 for my CB77. I presume that the part is the same across the range - CB, CL, CP, C for the same year?

Wiring loom date

My CB72 is dated 1962 from the engine and frame numbers but the wiring loom has a date of 1961. Does this mean that the bike was manufactured in 1961 but the bike is a 1962 year model? The loom may have been replaced but that is unlikely. Just curious.........

mufflers

Great looking bike and the mufflers set it off very well! My restoration project has no mufflers but I recall that the originals did have indentations to clear the areas mentioned so it is useful to know that this is not a problem with the aftermarket items. Many thanks!

Mufflers

Many thanks. The other suggestions are that these pipes are not great quality but they look good in the pics on eBay! Although you did not fit them yourself, I assume that it was possible to clear the obstructions such as the rear axle and centre stand? Cost is a significant factor for me as I am on...

After market mufflers from Thailand

I am sure this question has been asked and answered before but I would be keen to know whether the aftermarket mufflers (and pipes) for the CB77 from Thailand are of reasonable quality (and fit) for the price.
