VIN in 1969

I think the issue is that the VIN verify services (State Patrol, etc.) all use the same service - which gave my 1036888 a 1969 date today.....so the problem is perhaps in the database used....

So, the clutch was not engaging - so I took it apart, cleaned up the plates and the friction plates and now to put it back together - how tight do I go on the bolts that hold the clutch plates? Piston Ring movements

I am rebuilding a once frozen 67 305. My top piston ring runs free, lots of slack. My middle and lower piston rings are tighter than a drum to the piston. No slack, won't turn, etc. Having already broken one piston ring out, my question is: Are the lower two piston rings supposed to have slack? I dr...
