Sorry, 1964 ca77 - I actually figured it out. The spark plug wires have caps that screw on, but they just crumbled and the wires pull straight out. Just gotta get new plug wires now.

Thanks,

Beck

Removing spark plug wires from the coil

Hey guys,

Any trick to this ?

I couldn't pull them off easy and when I tried using pliers, the covers just cracked and broke off.

Thanks,

Beck

Thanks! Beck For cleaning off those years of yuck, there's a great product called De-Solv-It. One of those orange fluids (environmentally safe) that does not etch aluminum (as Simple Green does). No need to soak the parts, give them a good misting, brush it around, let it set (in the sun or a warm a...

Really starting to get my bike torn apart. I've got a lot of parts with years of crud built up. What do ya'll use to clean/degrease parts?

Also, Is there a way to dress up external parts like the crankcase covers?

Thanks, Beck

Stripped Screws on right Crankcase Cover

I tried the usual tricks - shooting some Liquid Wrench, putting a large rubber band in there to try and gain traction. When this didn't work, I bought a screw extraction set. D...

Will do. Thanks you should know going in that there are quite a few parts on the dreams that will absolutely murder your budget. especially if you need to be correct. make a plan before you dismantel it, maybe it's ok as is. sometimes a lot of patina is better than halfway restored. Good luck Randy
