Re: CB77 - No return to low throttle ?

This is weird but my CB77 did the same thing today. Twice. I had taken it out for a several mile run and it was warmed up. I gave it a little throttle but it suddenly revved really high. I jostled the throttle and it returned to idle. Did it again a few minutes later as I pulled into the garage. It ...

Re: Bill's CB77 Retirement Project

The next chapter of the CB77 saga is now complete. The bike was inspected by the Washington State Patrol and passed. It now is registered and has a collector vehicle license plate. I rode it 30 miles round trip to the inspection station. Went about 40 mph and it ran great!

Re: CB77 - No return to low throttle ?

A few thoughts. Have you checked the routing and function of the throttle cable? Routing can be a lot more important than you might think. Re: Crankcase clacking when hot - NOT kickstart

Re: Bill's CB77 Retirement Project

Today was the day that I drove it down the street for the first time. It has been decades since this pile of parts was last a motorcycle. It has been quite a process but I have tried to enjoy the journey and not rush to the finish line. That being said I did want to get to a place where I could find...

Re: Bill's CB77 Retirement Project

There's a lot of things I wish I had taken before and after pictures but since it seems like I have do to everything twice I usually have more than one chance. My 65 CB77 project update is not too much progress. I have fitted almost everything back at some time or another. It keeps coming apart. I h...

Re: Bill's CB77 Retirement Project

The cables have presented some unique challenges. On the throttle cable the length of the cable after the end of the cable conduit was not long enough. I trimmed 1/2" of each of the lower throttle cable conduit to effectively make the cable longer and allow the slide to bottom out. So far it is work...
