early engines had smaller intake valves. why are you wanting to use the later head on this engine? I've never done the swap but on paper it should work.
Good luck

cam chains are cheap. if you are in there, get a new one. if you have a running engine, and you can't adjust the noise away, then you need a new chain.

But--- go easy, you can blow grease past the seal very easily and then where is it? on the brake shoes. just lube on assembly. clean and repeat now and then.
Good luck

I have never gotten that tiny brass screw to thread out. It's a problem detail when refinishing. drill and heat will get the drive out, but then when you put it back together, It's hard to make it look right. soaking , scrubbing, and air will get the grit out (maybe the best solution)
Good luck

I have forks, fenders, and headlite buckets available. now it's going to get expensive with shipping coast to coast.
Good luck

John; you have some serious rust going on there. the fork is probably not worth repairing and the fenders can be had for for pretty low $$ as well. you should take a good look at the entire bike and make sure It is a viable project. what you have going for you is It is an early bike.
Good luck
Randy
