If forced to deal a leaky rectifier draining the battery, I would be inclined to replace it. If it's in the condition to drain the battery most likely it's not charging all that well when it's running. A $3 Radio Shack rectifier can solve a lot of problems.

As I recall, the "ch" terminal on back of the main switch is just a convenient way to join the red/white wire from the rectifier to the wire harness that connects to the battery terminal. You need to adjust the throttle cables so the slides lift at EXACTLY the same time off the bottom. Those two tabs, facing downward, mount the bottom half of the chain guard.

They vent the intake valve guides to keep vacuum from sucking oil into the engine while coasting in gear. They were attached to a teed line that plugged into the front of one air cleaner. Honda did away with them on the later engines.

T is for top dead center on the right cylinder, LT is for the left cylinder. Put it on the "T" mark for which every side you're adjusting, if the valves are tight turn it around one more full turn.

Sometimes a hard clutch pull can be traced to improper adjustment. Pull the outer cover off the right side and check out the angle between the cable end and the release arm.
