Make sure that you have removed the two nuts on the top of the crankcase that are located under the metal tab that the valley cover attaches to. Those get overlooked quite often.

The Honda logo on the points cover looks more like the one that emerged in the 70s, like on the later CB450 stator covers. The petcock looks like a Dream.

I found a listing for an early speedometer drive if anyone is restoring a very early bike. Some of those marks in the cylinders look a bit deep for a honing to take care of. I would look for some S3 pistons and rings and get the cylinders bored. Or you can find a used set of cylinders on ebay that are can be bored to 0.5 over and reuse your pistons with new rings.
