Well done for getting to the bottom of it. The keys that don't fit, could you take the ridge off very carefully with a Dremmel and use them as spares? Al. That's what I'd do. Might as well give it a shot. Doesn't seem like it would be very difficult to do, but it's odd that it is properly numbered ...

Industrial Grease Remover - I frequently use this straight in a squirt bottle. It gets after light grease and oil immediately. It helps to have a couple of small brushes to work it around.
