running it off an open coke bottle till im done painting up the tank.... when it ran i was able to see the airbubbles come up from the fuel line from the float ....

its a gravity feed so im thinking it should be ok

i still have original needles too

maybe i can get them cleaned and put them back in incase i bought the wrong ones ....

yep i rebuilt it with all new jets. whats weird is that it ran nicely for five mins then it quit. im pulling the carb all apart this weekend and cleaning it up again i guess. it was like a caramel candy apple in there when i first pulled it apart. it took a week to soak it so i could even get it apa...

I recharged the battery and tried again last night to get the motor running. nothing at all. there is fuel in the float bowl, there is spark on the plugs ( pulled them out and touched them to the block and saw arched sparks on both plugs while running the starter ) still the cylinders have too much ...

i understand now the draw from the coil, i didnt realize it would pull from the battery while its off. Thanks for the info. i agree on the electrical components, they are all stock from the factory. i will test the rectifier as you described and see if its malfunctioning ....

my ca77 has only 1100 miles on the motor. i got it started with no problem but only stays running for a few mins then it dies. i rebuilt the carb, saw the float was rubbing on the side of the float bowl. fixed it. now the brand new battery is dead only after fussing with the bike 20 mins. when it ru...
