Sealed beam units

I have 2 US sourced bikes that have sealed beam headlamp units and although they both work OK they both have some 'bloom' on the inside of the glass. Just wondered if anyone had any kind of solution for this.

Forum no longer accessible on phone?

Hi
Although the forum is fine on my laptop, I can no longer access on my phone. I see all the other pages OK but when I try to access the forum page I can only see the yellow index.
Any ideas why? How to solve? Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks Greg

Re: New CL77 project

Thanks Dennis.

I tried running it today. It starts straight up but mechanically quite noisy and the idle is all over the place, OK for a while but then might die or rev up. I can not find any air leaks so have taken the carbs off to strip and clean.

Re: New CL77 project

Air filters and link tubes were not useable. Neither seem to be available in the UK so the filters were rebuilt using ram air filter foam and as a temporary measure some radiator hose was used to join to the carbs. I will buy proper tubes in the future. https://i.postimg.cc/T3pjNVBC/P1070947.jpg htt...

Re: New CL77 project

First job l have done is to take the forks off and strip the front brake. Quite a lot of rust in the brake so I have just done my best to clean up and adjust and will see how it feels. Initially I thought there was no oil in the forks but it had partially solidified in the bottom and I eventually go...

Re: Late model cb77 footrests - spring?

Hi Gordon,
Yes I also have an older bike with the fixed footrests which I much prefer. I guess a tack weld could work quite well though if I can find a way of fitting a spring I think that would be my preference.

Re: New Cb77 project

I have finally got some running on the bike. In general it is running pretty well and very enjoyable to ride. It seems to be pretty oil tight. Running on choke is not too good, it starts up straight away but difficult to keep running until it warms up, once warm it seems fine. The carb floats do sti...
