Hey bonsaibill, sounds like there is a shorting in the wiring somewhere, is it possible that the connectors are exposed to the frame or bright metal grounding? could be that the taillight switch & bulb connectors are switched, make sure blue is to blue and white to white. Kill switch

Hey Jethro, I installed a kill switch on my bike by converting my dimmer switch to a connection break from the fuse to the ignition(ran a new wire from the switch to the fuse) so basically up is connected, down is off, cutting off the entire bike. thanks for the links! ill post an update with the results soon. the track is out in west oakland california at the train yards where they have a loop around track with no one on it that i can rip along on. its a nice place to bring her up to top gear, but every once in a while a security guard tries...

thats my bike i bought february 27th, its in great condition, original black plates, 24000 miles and custom seat. i had to have charlies place in san francisco do a lot of work on it to bring it back up and running about $2000 worth, so it brought it up to $4000 to get it street ready. shes a beauty...
