This is my interpretation of candy blue. I went a bit darker since I don't have a photo to compare to.but I'm satisfied with the shade and that maters most. Thank ya'all for the help on this forum, now let's ride. RW

When my 67 cl77 arrived here it had a peanut tank installed and was quikly removed and discarded. I sealed and used a tank from a cl72 and would now like to find a tank more correct for this model year. I've read here abouts that Honda discontinued the cross over tube to the petcock to use the petco...

update

With the side covers coming along nicely, I now have to make the decission to either wait for a year correct tank and restore it thus not loosing the use of the bike or paint this one which is off of a cl72 parts bike. I got lucky with the bondo in the tank badge recesses. The guy who filled them in...

Cribbs Actually I used the "leaded in " as a reference to filling in and I believe it is most likely bondo body filler. I've considered removing it but for other concerns, read on. Aron. I checked the splines on this one and I do have the deep. My parts motor did have a 16T sprocket in very good shape which I am now using. I will try to find a 35T rear and try the combo that crxmountainman wrote about. According to my estimation, that would put me in the same place as the 15-3...

color candy blue

Well I did it! The attached photo is done the way Davomoto recommended and this is the result. I used the high heat silver as a base and then the Testers transparent blue #1257 layered to this shade. It's not perfect but since it is not a museum piece it's OK. The Testers is a VERY thin paint and a ...
