Re: new scrambler project,, I'm back

ok, I know I should Know the answer to this but it has been such a long time. While adjusting the carbs I found a cup of oil under the right crank seal. Can I get that seal replaced without pulling the engine. Rusty

Re: 67 ca77 restoration update

Your pics will only load if you re size to about 600x800. Or do what most do by loading them on to a photo storage site then share them to your post. Rusty

Re: new scrambler project,, I'm back

IT RUNNNNNS! Fired off on the fourth kick. What a feeling to hear an old beast roar after 20 plus years. Now I can enjoy the ride while making plans for the cosmetics of it all. Rusty

Re: Ignition switch location

My recent cl77 had the ignition switch moved to a plate mounted to the handle bar mount. I only wish I had taken a pic of it as I did move it back to the correct location. Oh well, that's hind sight for ya. Rusty

Re: new scrambler project,, I'm back

It is really fun to be back and fun to be wrenching on a scrambler again. Almost ready to fire the latest one off and bring her back from the dead. When I do I will start a new restoration thread to log the progress. Will post lots of pics. Rusty

Re: how does oil filter come apart?

I use a brass drift down through the shaft hole from engine side. Tap on the inside of the lid one side then the other and it will come out usually slowly but they do come out that way. Any drift softer than steel (plastic, wood, brass) should do the job. Just do not want to bugger up the shaft hole...
