CA77 Brakes: How bad is bad?

After a year of tinkering and a busy schedule I finally got my Dream roadworthy and legal. Everything seems to be sorted out engine wise thanks to Loudmouse and a few others here and she is running real nice. The only real concern now is my weak front brake. I know the CA77 has been notorious for we...

Handlebar Shake When Pulling Brake Lever at Idle

Hey guys, Is it normal for the handlebars to have a bit of vibration or shaking when the front brake lever is pulled (even at idle)? It doesn;t feel like anything is loose up there so I figured it is just a result of mechanisms tightening up when the lever is pulled allowing for more vibration to be...

Thanks guys for the help. As it turns out I think the lever itself is set up correctly at the correct height. I think the problem was that I had the "play" amount set too low with about 2 inches of travel. After setting rear nut for a 1 inch play everything is feeling much more comfortable and confi...

Brake Pedal Too Low...

Hey there guys and gals,

I was just wondering if anybody has found a good (easy) way to extend the height of the brake pedal.

The brake pedal on my CA77 feels awkwardly low and I unfortunately cannot get it any higher as the exhaust downpipe is in the way.

Thanks for any help!

btw,
if the wiring locations are the only problem with the bars then I would consider using some tube cutters to lob off a bit on each end to get the grips in the right place.

Stopped by the thrift store and found this fantastically retro camera bag for $1.58.
I guess the spectrum stripe is more 70's-80's than 60's but who cares.
