The oil will just be "pushed" along and won't lubricate. A good 30w detergent (if you can get it) is still a great oil. But since the 30w oils...

I see some rollers listed on ebay and other sites for the cam chain tensioner. Just the roller. But looking at mine, I don't see how it comes apart in order to just change the roller. Any advice on how to do this? Thanks! GG

An inside piece pretty much disintegrated, which explains why it was pressurizing the crankcase so much. Re: CB77 Superhawk spits raw oil out of left mufflerThanks Geoff - yes, these are basically my conclusions. I've pretty much ruled out a worn valve guide - this happened rather suddenly, and the bike has been maintained well. I guess the top end is coming off. (sigh)
