I was prompted by your post to take a look at mine and it appears that there is definitely an offset. I'm betting this is correct because my frame and engine don't look molested in any way.

Early models are at a 90-degree angle to the case..............later models are at about 75 or 80-degrees to the case. Which do you need..........then I will look in my parts stash..........likely have one or more of each. OldScrambler, Welcome to the forum. I need a 66 scrambler clutch joint too. ...
