Gas leak in petcock on CA77

Can JB Weld be used to seal a gasoline leak around the pressed in discharge fitting in the petcock? Or should I try to sweat it in? Mine is extremely loose. It's on the road and running like a Dream

I've only put about 175 miles on it so far. Still shaking things loose and retightening fasteners, chasing electrical gremlins and everything else that goes with starting a restored bike.
