shifter sticking

Had this problem on and off where the shifter locks. Not fun in traffic!Have had tranny apart before, but not sure what is the root cause.Could it be a shifting fork?Any ideas to narrow it for when I split the cases again?

You have the clutch adjuster set-up properly correct? If so you may have to split the cases and look into the tranny.

CA77 one piece exhaust

Need a refresher. Were the header and mufffler one piece exhaust system a replacement or could they have come from factory on a 65' Dream?I'm thinking they were a replacement but not sure.

If the bike was sitting for 25 years the clutch plates are probably stuck. You need to pull the side cover off and clean the plates.I tore apart about five or six Dream engines that sat for many years and all of them had stuck clutch plates!
