Re: CB77 Front Fender - late model

I purchased this fender this fender from David Silver Spares. It's a very good reproduction with excellent colour match. It had some paint problems on arrival so I took it to a body shop and DSS paid for the repair. The price is a bit high but this is expected for a small run of an item which, to mo...

Re: Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

My ISP told me there was heavy traffic because of spamming and bot activity (and the spam control logs reflect it). Apparently this results in so much server activity that the bandwidth gets eaten up. Just one more challenge to deal with. -- Michael I remember the flood of spam, largely from some l...

Re: Tach Drive Cover Problem

It probably doesn't need to be said but I'll say it anyway. Use only one gasket. This cover and its mate on the right side hold the camshaft in place. (Note the ridge that lines up with the outer race on the bearing.) Two gaskets would leave a lot of end play in the camshaft.

If you search Ebay for "open barrel bullet terminal" you will find them. Get a crimping tool too. Some sets of terminals come with crimpers for remarkably...

Re: Wiring Challenges OMG

It's pretty clear that the 'new' wiring is not for a CB77. You do however, have a source of wire and connectors that may be useful in restoring your old harness to working condition.

Re: CA95 Fuel Petcock screw question

I wondered if there might be a market for this pre-ISO hardware if I could find a source and I indeed found one. I managed to get a quotation on some screws on Alibaba and the price was excellent, only a few cents each. The only problem was the minimum order, 1 tonne. I won't soon be selling any.

Re: Exposed windings on stator

Yes, I should have thought of contact cleaner. Effective and safe for the stator.
