Finally here is a photo of the vent filters in place (right side illustrated here). The hoses route in such a way so that the right side filter is for the left vent, and the left side filter is for the right vent. These are the Drag Specialties filters as depicted in the previous post, and they tuck in nicely behind the air filters and the side covers (you can't see them at all once the side covers are on, so all looks stock).

Hope this little project encourages others to give it a try!

Dynorun CB72 with different engines

Post by jensen » Thu May 22, 2008 12:46 pm

Hi Phil,

The dyno jet shows the difference between an early engine with two piece
muffler (red line) and a late engine with one peace muffler. Both engines
are standard but I used the same carbs with power jets (but different
settings).

At 145 km per hour in fourth gear the engine runs 10.500 rpm, but it still
pulls.

In the near future when I have more time I will give comments and explanation to the figures,

Jensen

looking forward to the expanded comments. I'm at the point that I have to start learning about tuning and all that, so threads like these are invaluable.

Has anyone used a K&N air filter on a CA77? If so, what is the part number? Thanks for any help.

And another question, would an air filter from a 1962 CA77 work for a 1966 CA77? Are they the same dimensions? Thanks.

I'm using the K&N Part# RU-0160 on my '66 CA77. Fits perfect.
