In the past I always bought kits from Terry at RetroBikes with never a problem, but he is gone now. the last three I have bought off ebay from Peanut as well and no troubles. I just this morning took apart one that has had gas in it for two weeks and it is flowing just fine. the only problem I have had with his kits is the bowl gasket is a bit too small, causing leaks if not seated properly.
Good luck
Randy

Why change the rubber, my 65 CB77 still has the origional seal in the tap and still does not leak. Might not be rubber though, doesn't have any signs of swelling. Had a lot of use over the years.

What petcock did you get specifically? I am having these same problems but thought it was just something specific I was doing wrong

Which after market valve did you go with?

Bee,

I used the kit from Scrambler Cycle....not an aftermarket fuel tap complete.
