Forgot one bit of info, I noticed you mentioned it. My CL77 came stock with the muffler. I changed it out clear back in 1967/68 to straight pipes and rarely used the baffles, still don't. I never gave me problems back then with the altered exhaust. Got lots of altered exhaust tickets, but no engine problems. Does straight exhaust require different jetting?

I would go with 135 main and 42 pilot jets. You can get Keihin jets from jets r us. Don't bother with the jets that come in the kits, they're typically junk. Go through the carbs and meticulously clean them. Then follow ed Moore's tuning recipe
