Inline fuel filters

I recently had my tank sealed on my CB77 and am wondering if I should be also be using filters on the fuel lines just as a precaution. Does anyone use them and is any particular shape ie. cylinder or cone preferred.

I wouldn't do this unless you have a problem with sediment. Although a fuel filter is a good thing, there are three places for it to settle out; the tank, the stopcock bowl and the carb bowls. If inspecting and cleaning the carb and cock bowls shows a significant collection of sediment from the sealing then you might want to add filters but I would go to the tank sealer first and see what's up.

Thanks Tim. I had the tank sealed last fall and haven’t put gas in tank yet but I asssume no sediment issues as everything is clean as part of my rebuild. I’ll hold off on the fuel filters and wait to see how the tank works out.
