Looking for a part for my Honda Dream 305 Ca77

Post by steven0356 » Mon Oct 01, 2007 2:02 pm

I am not sure how to describe this. i hope I can make this clear enough.

I have a Honda Dream 305 Ca77. I am missing a rubber bushing that goes in the (according to the parts catalogue) Front Brake Torque Link. The Front Brake Torque Link is the bar that keeps the Front Brake Panel from turning and locking up the front brakes (which is what happened to me). Someone (before I owned it) did not put a locking nut on it so the bolt came out; the front brakes locked up and down I went. Now I am trying to put it back together correctly.

Anyway I am looking for (according to the parts catalogue) a bushing, rubber, stopper Arm part number 03170 45437-254-330. I guess I could go to the hardware store and find something, but to make me feel better I would like to have the real thing.

So any ideas where I could find something like this would be appreciated

Try Western Hills Honda or Ohio Cycle. I believe one of them had some when I looked last. SCARCE! I was thinking of making bushings out of urathane for that service and for rear shock service. The bushings you refer to are poured around steel sleeves and since they are not captive like the shock bushings (washers both sides) it may work loose if not secured (glued, vulcanized).

Thanks but I have tried both places.

I have never seen one so it hard for me to visualize. So you are saying it is a steel sleeve that the bolt goes through and the rubber bushing that surrounds it? Do you know why is it made that way?

A pic is worth a thousand words. Hard to focus, but you can see the color differance between the silver alum., the grey steel bushings and the black elastomer. I have a 65 CA77 I am parting out. It has a fairly good set of bushes on it. If your interested Email me at d_johns@sbcglobal.net
As to why the bushes here and not the shocks. ????????
