brakes

Post by albert » Sun Nov 23, 2003 1:07 am

Having problems with my rear brakes. For my 305 superhawk. Bought used hub but brakes still bad. Any one know of a way to fix? Have replaced the shoes etc but with no success.

The shafts that turn in the brake plate probably have dried up grease in them. Remove the linkage and the felt grease seals, then knock the pivot pins out. Next clean the old caked on grease off and put some wheel bearing grease on the pins. Make sure you adjust the linkage after you put the brake shoes on.
