I would suggest the back-issue of Motorcycle Mechanics, circa somewhere in the dec 2000 to April 2001 range. Mark Haycock ran a year long article on restoring a Superhawk to running condition and he did overhaul the forklegs. I will look thorugh my issues and see if I can't pin down the issue date.<br /><br /> Another note; I remember him distinctly saying that if you don't need to do this job, don't. Apparently they're no fun.
