CB77 front fork tube
CB77 front fork tubeBelow is a photo of the lower left front fork tube from my 1966 CB77. Earlier design. I'm getting ready to powder coat it (and a bunch of other parts). I know many on this forum will say I should paint instead of powder coat. I agree painting would be nicer, but time and money considerations are steering me strongly toward powder coating.
My concern is whether there is anything heat sensitive at the bottom of the tube - like an o-ring, for example. Is the inner tube welded in place?
I must have fork legs on the brain at the moment as I'm trying to sort out a problem for someone trying to match an early fork tube with a later case. Didn't spot the date on the post, only the subject.
BTW Any chance you have an early type LH lower case available if we can't find one here in the UK, By early I mean an early steel one as used up to early 1963
I have a couple of front ends and would asume at lest one is good.
Let me know. ................lm
