frame blueprint

Post by rrietman » Mon Jul 11, 2016 9:51 am

annybody ever seen a blueprint for a CL77 frame? I recently discovered some old accident repairs on one of my scramblers and would be interested to see what the dimensions/angles SHOULD be.
thanks
Randy

I've looked everywhere I can think of to find that blueprint, but no luck. I would have liked to have found one for the CB77 too. I wonder if they even exist outside of the Honda factory.

They must exist, but buried in the vaults at Honda headquarters in Japan, like the Colonel's recipe and Coke's secret ingredients. Seriously though, I've found the frame plans for Harleys, Indians, and some of the British bikes, but absolutely nothing for any Honda. I know that there are frame restorers; I wonder what they use?

well; this is interesting. I have a clymer manual with a frame blueprint for the cb750 in it. I have a whole library of manuals and none have any frame dimensions ASFIK. (it will take me hours to confirm this) I am SURE they exist somewhere. I haven't seen any for the CL 250/305.

I have a CL77 with an obviously pushed in front end. the stupid thing is that it rides great, better than the other two that I have that measure correct. the wheelbase is about 1.5" short. obviously all the parts have been changed out except the frame is bent back.
