Hi Scottx,
This is an interesting thread as I need to put new shoes on my CB77 rear brake which is almost totally ineffective. In the end, where did you source the brake shoes?

G'day Gordon
I bought them from Classic Honda Restoration. I rang them to have a quick chat to make sure I was ordering the right brake shoes. I also found a few other bits and pieces to fill the package and spread the cost of shipping over more parts than just brake shoes.

Scott, thank you for the quick answer. I have bought parts before from Tim and been very satisfied. Good luck with the brakes. Regards, Gordon

Gordon

I have a guy locally who can re-line Honda brake shoes for a very keen price. Their normal business is lining brakes (overspeed protection) for wind turbines.

Graham, Thanks very much for the info on the re-lining. I will be stripping down the brakes this winter for a refurb.........enjoying riding my CB77 around Ayrshire this summer. It is running so much better now that I have got the timing set exactly with the strobe light and changed the carburettor jets for new ones. The rebuild of the front forks has sorted out the handling. Thanks to you and Gordon Brown and others for making parts available and all the others who have given such invaluable advice. I need to return to a few posts to complete the story of the end results and some photos!
