CA77 front brake drum?

Post by Chodel » Wed Sep 20, 2017 6:22 pm

Hi im fixing up my 1965 Honda dream 305. im tearing it apart, fixing it, cleaning it, polishing everything, and soon to be painted. But My new front drum and brakes came in today and noticed it doesnt match the old drum. I've done some looking to find what it is, and it appears to be a 1968 CB350 Front drum. The bike doesnt shake or rattle at all, but front brakes havent worked very good. I had to weld a plate to hold the cable in, since the cast retainer broke off the drum and figured that was the problem.

Has anyone seen a CB350 drum inside a CA77?

It looks like it would have better brake force since it has 2 cams to disperse pressure evenly through the drum.

Dont have pic yet but this is the front drum i have right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-CB-350-FR ... SwtnpXo3M-
