3rd Gear Main Shaft Wear

Post by UConn337 » Sun Sep 05, 2004 4:26 pm

Was wondering if anyone had a feel on how wide the groove for the shift fork should be on my 3rd gear? It measures 6mm wide max... I'm guessing that is way worn as there seems to be significant damage to the fork itself. If anyone has a replacement they are willing to part with I'd love to have it.

Thanks,
Bill

ANY wear between the fork and hub are unacceptable and may cause the bike to jump out of gear. Find a new one and replace it!!
