I just installed a set of barnett clutch fibers and steels in my cb77. I have not rode the bike yet. I have just read that people do not recomend theses clutchs, If anyone has used them please let me know how they have worked for you and or how long i should expect them to last. If there are not recomended what is the recomened fiber and steels to use. I asume the NOS parts are best, but kinda hard to find and expensive. Thanks for the help

After market clutch
Re: After market clutchThe problems I see when I find that clutch is that the First Plate (usually Mag or Aluminum) is warped from heat. Did you have the Thick Steel HONDA plate in your old clutch?. ...........lm
old clutchWhen i pulled the old clutch out, I had 5 steel plates that were all the same thickness. So when i relaced the clutch with the new parts I had to use one ORG. steel and i put that one on first. Then flowed but 5 fibers and 4 steels that was provided by Barrnett. The Barnett parts seemed a lil different the org but seem to go on and fit nice. Are the barnett clutchs ok to use or should i be hunting down NOS parts?
thanks
Re: old clutchFirst thing to do is put 2 of the thin original steel plates in because using only one will heat up then warp/bend back and you will loose the clutch. The Barnettt parts are different but do work OK. ...........lm
