clutch slipping after oil change

Post by ct70nut » Fri Jul 21, 2017 10:17 am

I searched and searched before changing my oil on 1965 ca77. I ended up going with Valvoline 20-50 motorcycle oil with wet clutch additive. The bike has 18k on it and hadn't really been run much in the last 10 years. I have been riding it frequently and on my way to work today the clutch started slipping, not bad but noticeable.
I am wondering if switching to sae30 would solve the problem?
or
adjusting the clutch, hesitant because I adjusted the clutch on my old shovelhead and messed it all up?
or
replace the discs from ones on ebay from 2fast 4.0 mm discs and not mess with the adj?
thanks for any help

talked to loud mouse, he was extremely helpful and walked me through a re-set and adjustment on the clutch.
I will report back after some miles.
Thank you so much!!
