Clutch not disengaging

Post by Hfb1957 » Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:46 pm

This old Dream has been setting up for about ten years. I have it running again but the clutch plates are stuck or something. Pulling in the clutch handle doesn't disengage it. The cable seems to be fine and it is adjusted right as best as I can tell. I guess it was right the last time it was ridden. Any ideas on how to unstick it without a full teardown. Thanks

No, you’re going to have to open the left crankcase cover, remove the clutch, break it down and clean it. I wouldn’t consider that a major task.
