Ca77 transmission problem after rebuild

Post by choctaw » Sat May 09, 2020 9:36 am

I have a 1966 Dream.I went through the motor and transmission changing anything out of spec. and of course all new seals and o-rings exc...I have a machinist background so I "Mic"d everything. My problem is it wont go into any gear.Only stays in neutral.I could shift the gears before I put the covers back together and sealed it up. any ideas? Gear shift drum not locked down in correct location? thanks Choctaw

This may seem too basic but is it oiled up? I remember may Dad telling me he disassembled a 30.30 Winchester as a kid but after reassembly it was totally jammed. My Grampa suggested he lubricate it and it worked like a charm!
