Wow
Interesting to see the old thread resurrected. I did take my tumbler to a locksmith. He fooled with it for a day, but ultimately gave it back saying the piece lodged in the tumbler, he couldn’t retrieve it.
But alas, not to be defeated, I kept at it, tapping it face down on the garage floor over and over until I could catch the tip with tweezers.
Luckily, several years ago when I found a local locksmith who had Taylor blanks that fit the tumbler, I took all he had...7 of them.
I tried a few different ignition ideas including leaving the original, but didn’t really care for the cosmetic applications.
As far as breaking any more keys...I simply kick start the bike, then get dressed.

I don't do those things by my own and prefer to take locksmith help for such issues.
