Control lever rubber tips

Post by DJM » Mon Jul 27, 2020 4:19 pm

Anyone have a source for the little rubber end caps fitted on late CL72 and 77 clutch and brake levers?
Part number is 53180 028 670 and they were used on bikes from Frame no CL77- 1033482 to the end of production, along with control lever featuring a machined flat across the face of the ball end.

I order the lever end caps from my local Honda dealer. The dealer’s prices were actually lower than I could find on eBay and other sites.

I am a bit confused on this one. When I originally looked I found more than one reference saying that they are not available or have not been available for years. I could not get G-man's link to work however if you enter the part number on the David Silver web site they do imply available on back order.
The item Partzilla list is smaller but I did find an article suggesting this part could be made to fit.
