Post by Sascha » Tue May 10, 2011 1:44 pm

Hey Guys,
When I fire the ignition the starter was turning over previously and isnt anymore, I can kick the bike and start it no problem but not sure whats going on with the starter now as I can hear its getting power, just not moving at all... Battery is full.

Hi Sascha,
I can hear its getting power
... what does this mean ... do you hear it spinning, buzzing, the starter chain rattling, ????

Electrons are pretty quiet these days ;)

Cross the two big terminals on the starter solenoid with a screwdriver and see if that works.
If so, you need a new solenoid.

It's the round thing in front of the coil with 2 big wires that are held on with nuts on the top.
