Rectifier - Testing / Repair '66CB77

Post by linda lovell » Sun Nov 02, 2014 3:12 pm

I accidently twisted off one of the brass terminals on the rectifier on my '66CB77. The entire brass terminal with screw came out of the hole that it was pressed into. I am considering soldering it back into this hole. After making this repair, how can I bench test the rectifier to see if it is OK? If any forum members have made similar repairs on rectifiers or have suggestions, please respond. Information on where to purchase after market rectifiers is also appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
Look at the first sticky in the electrical section.
A radio shack unit worked well for my dream, but there are several other
choices as well.
There are also several threads on rectifier testing as well.
