ignition swith positions and owners manual for a ca77

Post by pittsburghdream » Sun Mar 04, 2007 6:39 pm

I have seen several questions about the key positions for a ca77, but never an answer about what each key position does. I have seen mention that position 2 is for prime and 3 is to start? if someone could clarify this I would appreciate it. I don't have an owner's manual, but would really like a copy of one for a 1963 dream. I would be happy to pay for someone to copy one for me and mail or fax or send a .pdf.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The positions are: 0-starter only(prime position)
1-off
2-ignition on
3-Lights on
4-Parking light on engine off

There are replica owners manuals on Ebay for sale if you wish to go that route and some originals at times.Joe in Pa.

I've driven/operated and even flown allot of different machines but this Dream got to have the most complicated ignition switch I've ever seen. What were they thinking????

I do not know about a 63' CA77, but here is a picture of a 65' switch. Also, the C77 had the extra position for the winkers.
