Aftermarket electronic ignition conversions?

Post by bellabx » Fri Dec 14, 2007 1:20 pm

Since the e-Ignition Conversion is no longer being sold, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with other aftermarket systems.

I believe that Bore Tech offers an electronic ignition for the CB77's. I is not shown on the web site linked below, however they did advertise is in a magazine not long ago. Note the wording on their website:

"... Here are some of the models we have available:"

Indicating that they probably still have the older honda systems.

Incidentally, I had them ceramic-carbide coat the fresh bores on my BMW /2 when I was rebuilding it and I can't say enough about it. Break in time was quick, compression remains high after 8k + miles and oil use is nill. If I were going back into my Hawk with new oversized pistons and bores, I wouldn't hesitate to use the process again.
