no spark left side

Post by kawonda750 » Sat May 26, 2018 2:04 pm

OK. New points, condensor, wires. I have spark on the right side. If I switch the green wire to the left coil I get spark. Power to both coils is there.

Battery is down a bit from testing for spark with the electric start but I get 10.95 Volts at the green points and 00 at yellow.
Bad condensor?

should I see voltage at the yellow end of the condensor with the key on? I have none. It was a NOS unit.

If the points are closed or the wire connection is shorted there will be no voltage at the yellow wire. Disconnect the wire at the points and touch it to ground.

I got a new condenser from Classic Honda Restoration and now have spark on both sides.
Thanks for the input.
